Isdell House garden – BirdLife South Africa

BirdLife South Africa’s head office garden was designed specifically to attract birds. It features a variety of habitats with over 150 species of indigenous plants. A large section mimics the local highveld grassland habitat around Johannesburg, with local grassland flora.

Plants and garden materials were donated by and sourced from:
Random Harvest Nursery, Witkoppen Wildflower Nursery, Wildflower Wholesale Nursery, Grow Wild Nursery, Rand Water and GardenShop.

This garden won a South African Landscapers Institute (SALI) gold award in 2017 in the environmental landscape work category.
